Hi, my name is Anh, and I am primarily an English tutor for students in Year 9 and above. Previously, I taught English as a Foreign Language for Vietnamese high school students for two years, and this experience, seeing students’ improvement and building their confidence in their language abilities, has really fuelled my passion for teaching.
With a background in Education, I deeply understand students’ psychology when it comes to learning and the suitable teaching approaches to help students achieve further. Additionally, with a specialisation in language acquisition and linguistics, I am able to analyse students’ difficulties in English reading and writing across different genres at school and provide targeted instructions for overall improvement. High school level students are my preferred group as I believe that the complexity and abstraction in topics in the literature explored by these students and the increasing requirements for their writing ability necessitate extra guidance, in order for students to fully understand and achieve their learning outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience:
2 years of English teaching experience in Vietnamese high schools.
2 years of private English tutoring experience for students from high school to undergraduate level.
University Education:
Bachelor of International Security Studies
Master of Education Extended (TESOL) at the University of Wollongong
